Key Responsibilities: • Represent NPML as a MAP at industry bodies both face to face and remotely where applicable.• Provide day after reports for all industry body meetings.• Manage relationship with regulatory bodies such as DESNZ.• Respond to industry consultations and log all consultations released.• Maintain the technical risk register for NPML.• Maintain the corporate risk register for NPML.• Analyse and approve changes to the firmware and firmware upgrades to the existing meter stock including release notes and change notes.• Liaison with manufacturers to allow supplier access to firmware.• Ownership of a firmware intelligence pack of information capturing risks relating to firmware.• Communicating directly with presentation packs with suppliers to mitigate the risk to deployment of firmware.• Manage the change log for firmware upgrades.• Assist in the submission of due diligence reports to clients and loan providers.• Assist in technical assessment of meter asset failures.Key Competencies: • A good working knowledge of the various types of smart meters and their firmware configurations. • A good working knowledge of IT Systems associated with smart meters including comms network. • Knowledge of the smart meter role out and specific meter types. • Good communication skills including report writing ability written and verbal • The ability to interpret regulatory documents and consultations to provide responses • Good organizational skills and time management of tasks.Qualifications and AttributesEssential experience:•Knowledge of smart metering and the role out of smart metersDesirable qualifications and experience: •Degree/HND qualified in relevant subject •Change management experience.•Industry experience directly related to industry groups.•SQL or other database skills.•Knowledge and understanding of smart meter firmware and / or•IT systems associated with the smart meter rollout.•Experience in dealing with regulation•Compliance and risk reportingClick here to apply todayVisit northernpowergrid.com/careers to find out more about this and other career opportunities.?Posted: 13 September 2024Closing date for applications: 27 September 2024 Applicants are considered on the basis of their suitability for the post irrespective of sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender re-assignment, race, age or disability, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
