Finance Assistant (12 mth FTC)

A finance assistant is required to join a fast-paced finance team for a leading global manufacturer in Hyde, greater Manchester, on a 12-month Fixed Term contract. The role will be Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. and paying up to £29k p/a dependent on experience. The role is to cover for a maternity leave but will incorporate you working with the current incumbent for the next 2/3 months to shadow and pick up the role comfortably. * You must be either training to become or be AAT qualified * You must have strong MS Excel knowledge * You must be able to show a demonstrable working knowledge with allocating concepts such as accruals and prepayments as well as experience of sales and expenditure analysis. * You must be organised, accurate and be able to meet deadlines. * Experience in Manufacturing is a plus and advantage. Some of the duties you will be expected to perform but not limited to are: * Creating monthly P&L expenditure analysis * Prepare monthly recurring journals * Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts * Monthly sales breakdown reports * Maintain cash books and credit card receipts * Reconcile all bank accounts * Ensure all purchase ledger items are complete * Issuing foreign currency
