Art Technician

Art Technician - Full-Time, Immediate Start - Mainstream Secondary School, Southwark Are you passionate about art and eager to support the creativity of young minds? We are looking for a dedicated Art Technician to join our vibrant art department at a mainstream secondary school in Southwark. This is a long-term, full-time role with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Art Department in preparing materials and equipment for lessons. Maintain and organise art supplies, equipment, and classrooms to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Assist teachers during practical lessons, helping students with equipment and materials. Support the creation of displays and exhibitions of student work around the school. Ensure health and safety standards are met in the classroom and storage areas. Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and managing inventory. Requirements: A passion for art and an interest in working with young people. Previous experience as an Art Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A DBS certificate on the update service is required. Pay Range: Dependent on experience.
