Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Project Lead - Chassis & Motion Control Systems to be based at our office in Warwick . Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery. The Role: Supporting the growth of the domain within a key customer, an exciting role has become available to lead the team in delivery of a first to market segment motion control technology across multiple product lines. Accountable for a Motion System Technology Delivery Squad, delivering to multiple programmes, the Product Owner will set up & run the Programme Scrum / Groups to ensure up front input from all relevant areas. This is a key customer interfacing role, with accountability for multiple projects with the customer, on both existing and new product lines where you will provide leadership and technical proficiency in your area. You will ensure back log tasks are tracked and completed and utilise Jira to plan tasks for the team, You will present your teams successes in 2 weekly Sprint Showcases to customer PGL/ TGL level Managers, along with representing the Squad in Market Days, Retrospectives and Big Room Planning Events. Area of Responsibility Accountable for the system delivery of the Chassis and Motion Control System technology into customers vehicle line/s. Manage both technical and project delivery teams, in providing leadership and technical expertise in both the domain and system delivery. Robust planning to ensure appropriate budget, project costs are considered and scheduled in line with internal and external milestones. Own vision for the scope covered by the Scrum Determine priorities to be delivered by the team Align with key stakeholders and customers regularly Represent the team and the technology in multiple forums, ensuring status and actions are clearly communicated, escalated appropriately. All issues are to be captured and progressed using customers issue management systems appropriately and in a timely manner. Escalate obstacles to for Project and Group Leads as required. Support Project Leads in preparing QBR (esp. writing QBR Memo) Discuss Squad burndown charts with SM and AC Provide timely feedback to Squad and Scrum members Review needed skillset in the Squad with both Project and Technical Leads Participate in POTLAC (Product Owner/Team Leader/Agile Coach) discussions and reviews Ensuring all deliverables meet customer milestones to the appropriate quality expectations. Collaborate with CORE application teams where necessary to support integration of new applications of motion systems. Requirements analysis & decomposition, development and execution of validation process and associated simulation environments whilst using RMDV. Defining and identifying complete test plans, including vehicle usage, spares, and test schedule Knowledge / Experience Automotive or Electrical Engineering Degree Expert knowledge of Automotive Chassis / Motion Systems and associated features in the vertical motion domain e.g. Roll Control Systems, Adaptive Damping, Switchable Air Springs, Fully Active Suspension in either the controls or mechatronics domain, although strong candidates with relevant system experience from other industries such as aerospace will also be considered. Experience of delivering complex mechatronic systems from concept to production. Demonstratable experience of delivering complex projects to quality, cost and time. Knowledge of integrated suspension control and associated systems / features. Knowledge of vehicle dynamics particularly in the active systems domain. Experience of systems development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development V cycle, including understanding of system principals. You will be highly proficient with a strong working background in Jira toolsets, including but not limited to Confluence and Lucid , Scrum Master experience would be highly desirable for this specific role. Requirements and change management tools and processes, version control, control strategy documentation. Experience of safety critical active control systems and associated software, including standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 or similar. Expert level project management and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills. Ability to guide and coach team members to enhance teams capability. Competent in issue resolution methodology and application e.g. 8D, Fishbone.
