****Compliance Assistant****
Robert Half is partnering with a fast growing fintech FX based in London, offering execution and automating currency management with access to the comparative FX marketplace.
Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, inquisitive Compliance Assistant with effective communication and problem-solving skills to join our fast-growing team.You will be hard working with a desire to contribute to the success of a fast-paced and innovative financial services technology firm. You will be joining a growing Compliance team and will benefit from ongoing training.
Role:
- Assist with the building, maintaining and implementation of the Compliance monitoring plan, ensuring that the firm’s system and controls remain effective;
- Maintain and update our compliance policies and participate in team training;
- Assist in the investigation, maintenance and reporting of breaches in our compliance;
- Assist with product solution reviews where necessary;
- Assisting with and completing compliance reviews and audits;
- Assisting the team with GDPR and data protection compliance;
- Horizon scanning; looking for future regulatory developments applicable to our business;
- Develop and maintain knowledge of UK (and other relevant jurisdictions) compliance laws, rules and guidelines applicable to our business;
- Assisting with the review and approval of marketing and other promotional materials;
- Assist with new customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence requirements with our financial crime and bank onboarding team as necessary; and
- Participate in special compliance projects including liaison with other departments such as operations, finance, HR, technology and business development; and
- Any other ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities.
Required Skills:
- 1-3 years’ experience working within Compliance at a Financial Services firm (ideally working within an Investment or Asset Management firm);
- Knowledge and understanding of the UK regulatory environment with respect to Investment services;
- University Degree (or equivalent);
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- A proven ability to work successfully in a team; and
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc).
