Wigan - Duty Children Social Worker - £38 per hour

Wigan Council is seeking an experienced Duty Social Worker to join their dynamic team. As a Duty Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to individuals and families in need. Responsibilities: * Respond promptly and effectively to referrals, assessing the needs and risks of individuals and families. * Carry out comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals. * Provide ongoing support and intervention to individuals and families, ensuring their well-being and safety. * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate services and resources for clients. * Monitor and review cases regularly, making timely decisions regarding appropriate actions and interventions. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with organisational standards and legal requirements. Requirements: * 2 years post qualifying experience * Being SWE registered More about Wigan and the role: * competitive hourly rate of £38 * The Duty Service in Wigan comprises five teams, each consisting of a team manager, advanced practitioner, senior social worker, and six social workers. * Wigan is fortunate to have five duty teams, which means each team is on duty for one week and off duty for four weeks.
