Just Legal Search is supporting a Credit Management firm, seeking a Legal Professional to join their team in London on a full time basis. Following the implementation of a new
business strategy, the business is entering an exciting period of growth. This role will suit
someone who wants to have full autonomy in taking ownership of the legal desk and
supporting the growth of the team as required.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on individual, with a robust understanding of
commercial and investment markets. This is a varied role, working closely with the CEO and requires the successful candidate to manage the structuring and execution of transactions, whilst handling drafting contracts and supporting the investment team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Credit Structuring or Debt Structuring or Structured Finance. The role offers progression and growth, with relevant training and qualifications if desired.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the legal function and growing the team as needed by the business, whilst
having valuable input and being relied upon to shape the desk and function as they
see fit
- Supporting the investment team with coordinating bond prospectuses, company
filings, transaction processes and prospective investments
- Managing the structuring, drafting and execution of investments, which includes
vehicle structuring
- Working closely with the CEO in being able to have valuable input to make key
decisions which will impact the business
- Working with co-investors, counterparties and regulatory authorities in negotiating,
drafting and executing contracts and transactions
About you:
- Legal background in Credit and/or Debt and/or Structured Finance
- Motivated and solutions driven attitude with the ability to work in a hands-on
environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-confident in dealing with
investors and regulatory authorities
- Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced
environment
We anticipate the successful candidate will ideally (but not necessarily) have studied Law
and comes from a Bank or Investment Management within a Credit / Structured Finance /
Debt background; with a proven track record of Legal responsibilities, including drafting,
negotiating, structuring and working with clients and investors.
