Senior HSE AdvisorGreenwich, SE London | £50,000-£55,000 pa | Full-time, Permanent | On-site positionWe are working with a blue-chip telecoms company, global leaders in the design, manufacture and distribution of subsea network cabling. They are seeking a seasoned health & safety professional to support the management of all health, safety and environmental matters at their UK HQ in Greenwich. Regular Inspections:Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections across all business units.Identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Internal and External Audits:Support internal HSE audits to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and customer expectations.Facilitate external audits, perform root cause analyses, and develop corrective action plans.Incident Management:Manage investigations into incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough analysis and reporting.Implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.HSE Initiatives:Develop and implement HSE initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.Engage employees at all levels in HSE programs and initiatives.Risk Assessments:Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for various processes and activities within the plant.Develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks.Environmental Management:Monitor and manage environmental aspects and impacts, including waste management and energy consumption.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.Legal Compliance:Maintain an up-to-date legal register and ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation.Liaise with regulatory bodies as required.Health Hazards Monitoring:Monitor and manage health hazards such as noise and air quality.Implement control measures and conduct health surveillance programs.Emergency Response:Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for emergencies.Team Leadership and Collaboration:Lead and support safety specialists, HSE representatives, and the HSE committee.Foster a collaborative approach to HSE management across all business units.KPI Management:Develop and monitor HSE KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.Implement control measures and conduct health surveillance programs.Training Needs AnalysisIdentify HSE training needs and develop training programs for employeesEnsure all employees receive appropriate HSE training and refresher courses.Person Specification EducationDegree in Health & Safety, environmental science, engineering or related subject, preferred not essential.ExperienceDemonstrable years’ of experience in HSE within senior position.Working within high risk environment such as, manufacturing, engineering, construction, oil and gas, nuclear.CertificationsNEBOSH Diploma, Cert IOSH, NVQ Level 5 or similar. Required SkillsStrong knowledge of HSE legislationStrong knowledge of audit standards ISO45001 & ISO14001Led HSE campaigns/initiatives to improve safety cultureExperience influencing internal stakeholders Hybrid Working 4 days onsite, 1 day remote working
