Senior Sales / Business Development / Client engagement / Strategic sales / Consultative sales
The Senior Sales Executive will play a crucial role in driving the expansion of public sector clients, especially schools/colleges and other not for profit "Estates". This role is largely independent, offering generous basic salary and an uncapped commission-based compensation.
Key Responsibilities
• To contact, engage and build a portfolio of relevant clients who will be eligible for various Grant schemes under LCSF AND PSDS (prior knowledge desirable but not essential as training provided).
• Become familiar with the LCSF and PSDS schemes and stay updated on any changes.
• Build knowledge to understand the renewable technologies relevant to these schemes.
• Participate in conferences and exhibitions to gather potential client contacts.
• Work with the Sales & Marketing team to develop a client database and strategy.
• Contact potential clients and sign them up for LCSF applications.
• Assist in preparing and submitting grant applications for clients.
• Maintain client relationships and guide them through the grant process.
• Obtain client signatures for consultancy services and pursue alternative funding if necessary.
• Monitor sales data and market trends and contribute to future campaigns and system improvements.
• Build long-term relationships with clients and ensure high satisfaction.
Essential Qualities & Experience
• Proven experience of previous high performance sales ability
• Stable and progressive experience within a sales environment (+5 years)
• Strategic & solutions based sales approach
• Able to self manage with a strong work ethic and discipline to take an idea and build it into a highly successful and profitable entity.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Previous experience of selling into the NfP/public sector; Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, Charities, Local Government etc
• An interest in or desire to learn about energy efficiency and renewable solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Capable of working independently and driving events.
• Analytical mindset to interpret sales data and market trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other IT tools.
