Tower Hamlets Council - SEN Manager

Duties will include; - Statutory Compliance: Ensure that the SEN team meets the statutory 20-week timescale for completing EHC needs assessments and issuing EHCPs, as well as meeting deadlines for annual reviews. - Leadership and Management: Provide day-to-day management and leadership to the SEN team, ensuring that staff are supported, workloads are balanced, and that performance is monitored effectively. - Service Improvement: Drive service improvements, ensuring that processes are efficient, timely, and in line with statutory duties and best practice. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with schools, health and social care partners, and other external agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to supporting children and young people with SEN. - Ofsted Preparation: Play a key role in preparing the service for the upcoming Ofsted inspection, ensuring that all aspects of the service are compliant with statutory requirements and that the Local Authority is in a strong position to demonstrate good practice. - Data Monitoring and Reporting: Ensure that data is accurately monitored and reported, providing timely updates on key performance indicators such as EHCP timeliness and the completion of annual reviews If you are interested in this role please send your updated CV in the first instance
