Primary SEN Teacher

Smile Education are currently working on behalf of a small SEN primary school located in Dudley, seeking a passionate and confident SEN Teacher to join their growing team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners by delivering the primary curriculum to a small group of 6 pupils in Key Stage 2, each with special educational needs (SEN) including ADHD,ASD, SEMH and Sensory needs. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of each pupil. Fulfil the full teaching role, including planning, marking, and assessing student progress. Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and external agencies to ensure each child receives the appropriate support. Attend school meetings, parent consultations, and contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs). Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant experience. Recent experience supporting students with SEN, ideally within a primary school setting. Confidence and enthusiasm in teaching Key Stage 2 pupils with varying needs. Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning requirements. Able to provide a minimum of 2 references commenting on your interaction with children covering the past 2 years.
