English Teacher Location: Wakefield Start Date: ASAP Salary Scale: £140 - £190 per day Contract: Long Term/Supply GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a client secondary school in Wakefield. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced professional to engage students, instilling a love of literature and language. With a strong commitment to maintaining high academic standards, the ideal candidate will also contribute to the overall success and development of the English department. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning abilities, encouraging progress in both reading and writing skills. Responsibilities of an English Teacher: Plan and deliver innovative English lessons. Assess students' work regularly and provide constructive feedback. Monitor and support students’ academic and personal development. Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure a consistent approach to the subject. Qualifications and Requirements for an English Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Relevant teaching experience within a UK secondary school setting. A thorough knowledge of the English National Curriculum. Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage students.
