Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Swindon Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 + package An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy, privately owned infrastructure contractor at their offices in Swindon. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy, professional commercial team working on major infrastructure projects for clients including National Grid, the Environment Agency and Highways England, often with contract values of more than £200m. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on a wide range of projects, taking them from procurement to settlement of final accounts. Some of your key duties will include: Develop & manage the project budgets throughout each phase, monitoring expenditures and ensuring the projects are completed within budget constraints. Oversee the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids and negotiation of contracts Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed T&C's Identify and asses potential risks related to the projects Evaluate project designs and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities Implement effective cost control measures to monitor & manage project expenses Prepare & present financial cost reports, including cost forecasts & cash flow projections Manage changes in project scope and assess their impact on costs & schedules The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor can expect plenty of opportunities for rapid career progression, exposure to exciting projects and a generous salary & package that includes: Starting salary of £55,000 to £65,000 £5,700 car allowance or company car 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown Healthcare Contributory pension Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience working in the UK for a main contractor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
