In order to successfully apply for this role, you must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in a financial services role within a regulated environment
  • Experience in third-party servicer/supplier management and/or investment/portfolio risk.

Other risk, compliance, or audit-related experience may also be considered, particularly if you have significant experience in consumer credit

1. Key Accountabilities/Scope

  • Support and deputise for the Investment Risk Director, including attending committees/forums, decision-making, and reporting.
  • Develop and deliver the 1st Line Investment & Outsourcing Risk Framework, including:
  • Oversight of all group investment activity and approvals, ensuring regulatory due diligence and investment risk assessments are conducted.
  • Risk-based onboarding due diligence and ongoing oversight of the group’s outsourced service/supplier network.
  • Monitor macroeconomic and regulatory environments, assess impacts on processes, controls, and emerging risks, ensuring the risk framework remains fit for purpose.
  • Maintain and enhance policies/processes, including ensuring a clear audit trail, and managing workload allocation and prioritisation.
  • Define and improve risk metrics and data-driven risk reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Risk Director to expand the scope of the Investment Framework to encompass broader business initiatives (e.g., contingent servicing).
  • Lead, mentor, and upskill the team to enhance knowledge and effectiveness.
  • Share best practices and support the business in making informed decisions and improving overall knowledge.

2. Experience/Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in a financial services role within a regulated environment (essential).
  • Experience in third-party servicer/supplier management and/or investment/portfolio risk.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and engaging with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ideally, experience in navigating organisational growth or change at pace.
  • Strong understanding of relevant UK regulations (e.g., FCA, GDPR).
