Electrical Engineer

Expleo are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer focused in EMC within the automotive market based in Bedfordshire.

Responsbilities of the Electrical Engineer -

• Validation Tasks:

  • Conduct Whole Vehicle EMC tests for ICE, Hybrid, and EV models.
  • Perform EMC tests on E&E systems and electronic parts.
  • Carry out EMC Reg 10 tests.
  • Ensure functionality, performance, and reliability according to Nissan's design/test standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

• Testing Opportunities:

  • Visit and support testing at major facilities across the UK and Europe.

• Development Tasks:

  • Develop and set up new test systems and arrangements for EMC work specific to EV CCS (AC & DC chargers).
  • Work on EMC test setups for V2L, V2G, V2X, and autonomous drive systems.

• Test Planning:

  • Create test plans to meet project and design milestones.

Requirements of the Electrical Engineer -

• Educational Background: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Electrical Knowledge: Proficient in electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices.
• Language Skills: Fluent in both written and verbal English.
• Harness/EDS Experience: Experienced in harness and EDS layout and application.
• Circuit Diagram Proficiency: Capable of following system circuit diagrams and identifying electrical connections.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated practical experience with problem-solving tools and techniques.
• CAD Tools: Experienced in using automotive CAD tools
