The Role

We are seeking anambitious, enthusiastic, experienced site HSE & Facilitiesadvisor to join our team based at our Pontefract site. In thischallenging and rewarding role, you will support the HSE Lead inensuring Health & Safety, facilities and Environmentalprocesses and procedures are followed on a day-to-day basis andsupporting and coaching colleagues to build capabilities to deliverand maintain our Zero Loss philosophy. You will play a key part ofimproving overall performance at site as a key member of the siteHSE Pillar Team.

The role requiresthe ability to facilitate change, strive for Zero losses and beinvolved in interesting and diverse projects which will improvesafety and behaviours at the site.

  • Supporting the implementation of company HealthSafety and Environment (HSE) policy and embedding ISO requirementsthrough supporting the implementation and embedding of theIntersnack Work System (IWS) HSE Pillar at site level as a pillarmember.
  • Support through coaching and capabilitybuilding accident and incident investigations to ensure that bothcorrective and preventative actions are identified and implementedand deliver site trainings.
  • Support the siteHSE Lead with the Regulatory Authorities and Insurers on keymatters such as Fire Risk Assessments, RIDDOR reporting, EmergencyPlanning, Discharge consents & Improvement Plans as required.Support production of risk assessments and development of safesystems of work.
  • Supporting risk reductionbased on site Risk assessments, including for example Fire,Machinery Safety, DSEAR, and PUWERMaintenance.

A member of the SafetyCommittee working with the site HSE Lead to support the managementof Employee Liability claims in conjunction with Employee Healthand Wellbeing and Insurers

  • Engage,communicate and be proactive and visible especially during No-Flyzones to support site improvements, behaviours, and culture as wellas capability building of HSE PillarTools.
  • Conduct internal Health, Safety,Environmental and Energy Health checks to ensure legal compliance,and support deliver of the HSE Master Plan plans to supportreduction of risk and continuous improvement in HSE andEnergy.
  • Manage the sites day to day facilitiesrequirements:
  • Ordering of PPE and officerelated supplies
  • Budget control and credit cardmanagement
  • Admin office support - asrequired.
  • Site Security & access controlmanagement
  • Carry out all third party KPIreviews with third party company's relevant tofacilities.
  • Carry out site audits in facilitiesareas in conjunction with Technical and HSEstandards.
  • Carry out KPI review monthly andscore accordingly.
  • Garment Order and laundrymanagement.
  • Visitormanagement
  • Regular auditing ofsuppliers
  • Update site communicationsboard.
  • The role requires deputising for thesite HSE Lead and is an ideal platform to develop skills andcompetency to develop into our next site HSE Leadrole.

TheCandidate

  • Health and safety professional with goodmanufacturing experience who is looking to further develop theircareer in HSE.
  • Nebosh Health and SafetyCertificate preferred.
  • EnvironmentalQualification - IEMA Certificate desired
  • Ableto demonstrate good influencing skills.
  • Experience of working with Safe Teams/Committees to drive improvements in culture andperformance.
  • Excellent understanding ofrelevant health and safety and Environment legislation/law and howit is practically applied.
  • Good understandingof change agents.
  • Able to demonstrate effectiveTeamwork at both site levels and regional levels.
