About The RoleContract Type: Temporary Working Hours: Part Time, 27.5 hours per week Number of Positions: 1 Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent Salary: £23,114 - £23,893 per annum Start Date: 10th November 2024 or as soon as possible The Governors of the CLIC Trust wish to appoint a committed and enthusiastic SEND support assistant/TA who can assist pupils in accessing learning and attend to their personal, physical and welfare needs. Rolls Crescent is a vibrant inner city school that is part of the CLIC Co-operative Trust with five other primary schools (all based in the North-West). About the CandidateThe successful candidate will: Enjoy working with children with a positive and enthusiastic outlook. Have the skills and knowledge to support all children within our school. Have a Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or equivalent Use effective strategies to promote positive attitudes to learning Work well with other staff and agencies Be motivated, enjoy a challenge and be eager to learn and develop their skills Be an excellent practitioner with a desire to help children achieve Have very high expectations of children's attainment and behaviour Behave in a professional manner within a team environment Have the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy in all interpersonal relationships with children, parents and colleagues at work Have experience of working with pupils with medical and/or physical needs or be willing to be trained to assist with manual handling, pupil transfer and to follow our pupils' Individual Healthcare Plans, including daily medical protocols and/or personal care routines We Offer: Be supported by and carry out duties under the guidance and advice of the SENDCO and relevant medical staff e.g. occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
