System Admin II

The Systems Administrator II will assist in the day to day operations, and support of multi-site virtualized Windows Server, Cisco network gear and Palo Alto firewall environments with a strong focus on systems integration and performance. Operational duties will utilize industry best practices, while adhering to company policies and procedures, in order to ensure environment provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals and regulatory requirements. The System Administrator II will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the company’s installed technology assets, mentoring, training and supporting Operations Analysts in an environment that fosters cross-training and voluntary knowledge transfer.Responsibilities Works under the direction of the Director/Manager – Field Support ServicesPlans and schedules project work to meet assignment time-framesMeets formally or informally with the manager or designated senior staff to discuss status, ask for assistance on intractable problems, and to review accomplishmentsAssists the Operations System Administration team in providing 2nd tier support to enterprise systemsAssists the System Engineer, IT Security, Application Development, Network and Operations Service teams in the maintenance of the IT infrastructureAccepts complete technical responsibility for equipment and assigned technologiesDocuments the design, implementation and final configuration of both new and existing technologies and equipmentEscalates intractable problems to vendors and/or senior manager for resolutionOpens up problem reporting tickets and accurately uses all problem tracking software systemsOpens up problem reporting tickets and accurately uses all problem tracking software systemsAbility to be on call and provide critical incident response 24 x7 x 365Occasional night and weekend workOn call rotationQualifications Requires well developed written and verbal communications skills.Must be fluent in the English language.Must comply with internal controls.Experience with the following are a must:Microsoft Server and Active DirectoryMicrosoft Windows 10VMware Virtualization technologiesOpsviewVeeam BackupIvanti Windows BatchCisco WebEx technologiesMicrosoft Exchange/Office 365Cisco IOSExperience with the following are a plus:Palo AltoPowershell scripting Load Balancer technologies (F5, Avi)Cisco UCS Blade System3PAR SANVelo CloudRing CentralIndustry Standard Casino Gaming ApplicationsA Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent training and experience is preferred.Must have 5+ years relevant application and/or IT operations experience.Proven relevant experience with Virtualization technologiesExtensive experience with Active DirectoryHands-on network, software and hardware troubleshooting experience.Traveling is a part of this role 25-75% depending on projects
