Quality Manager

Quality Manager Contek are working with a client who is looking for a Quality Manager to join and lead their team of Quality staff. This role is working within an exciting, longstanding and innovative company who offer a modern and clean workplace. This company have a variety of processes on their sites and have a fantastic reputation within their sector. Previous experience working as a Quality Manager is essential to be successful in this role, and experience working to AS9100 or IATF16949 is essential also. Responsibilities; * Holding Quality meetings and keep all senior management updated on production issues. * Discuss with Production Director regarding rework, replacement batches and reject products and initiate corrective actions. * Arrange agenda for Monthly Quality Meetings and KPI's with the aim of continuous improvement. * Liaise with other sites on a regular basis. * Lead a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Admin staff. * Customer facing responding to complaints and queries. * Maintain and update QMS inline with production forecast and processes. * Supervise internal audits and co-ordinate external audit visits. * Direct and coach your team members. Experience required; * Experience as a QE, SQE or Quality Manager working to AS9100 or IATF1949 regulations. * Experience within a manufacturing facility with a variety of production processes. * Effective team work and being able to manage and lead from the front. * Auditing experience to the above regulations. * Apprenticeship served or a solid engineering foundation. The hours for the role are as follows; Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 Friday 08:00 - 15:30 Please note, we cannot accept applications from outside of the UK.
