Pastoral Care Leader Medway Scale D2 Points 4 to 11 £23,114 to £25,979 FTE Full-Time - 37 Hours Per Week, 39 Weeks Per Year 8am until 4pm Monday to Thuesday (3:30pm Friday) 1 Year Fixed Term Contract ASAP Start Role: To provide pastoral care for two designated Year groups under the direction of the Head of Year to support the head of year improve progress and outcomes for all students in their year group. Responsible for: The Pastoral Care leader will be responsible for all aspects of pastoral care within the year group through regular contact and communication with parents and external agencies as required Particular Responsibilities * To work with students to promote positive attitudes, self-discipline and a proper regard for authority and good behaviour, in line with the school’s Expectations of Conduct * To be an advocate for students facing personal difficulties in school * To be responsible for the attendance, behaviour, progress and pastoral wellbeing of designated students * To provide regular feedback to parents/ carers and students in relation to progress, achievement, behaviour, attendance and other key issues * To liaise with colleagues, students, parents and external agencies as required * To support colleagues in matters of student indiscipline * To support the Head of Year to monitor student progress and specific challenges of the allocated year group. * To support the school’s daily behaviour systems * To ensure that students’ records are satisfactorily maintained including monitoring and evaluating student progress * To advise the HOY and SLT behaviour lead of any relevant concerns and support with the collation and dissemination of relevant information * To lead on behaviour investigation, recording incidents and follow up with parents as necessary, as part of a year team If you are interested in the role, please do apply below
